How Can I Find a Pro Bono Bankruptcy Lawyer in Massachusetts? – Fran

I had a high credit rating(785) and then hardship hit, wife lost job then eventually benefits, medical issues in the family, I had only savings left and had 1 big credit card bill for about 20k, I called the company (BoA) and told them my situation and was willing to pay 50% settelment and they refused, asked for better rates and none, I called them evry month for help and always got “things will get better”. a year goes by and all my savings are gone so I use credit cards to help me out I got to the point that I stopped paying and all went to collection, after I lost my savings BoA was willing to take a 7k settelment…I had $30 in my name that day.

Now I need an attorney but cant afford the full price are there any pro bono bankruptcy attorneys in Massachusetts, I dont intend to be all free I can pay some just dont have the full 2k.

Thank you

Fran

  1. Fran,

Try Attny Tom Benner from the Law Offices of Smellof & Benner. They have offices throughout the state and consultattions are always free. I’m not sure if he would be able to work pro-bono, but I do know he is always flexible and understanding.

He’s a great guy and I’m sure you will agree if you wind up meeting with him. His direct # 781-706-3228.

    Good luck,

    Andy
