Priceline.com – Consumer Complaint – 5-22-2012

Consumer Statement:

I purchased the insurance on an upcoming stay at a hotel from Priceline.com. I need to cancel the reservation but they said the insurance can only cancel the trip if I die or are hospitalized. I have an education conflict taking place the time of travel and that is why I wanted to cancel. They said there is nothing they can do and my insurance cannot be refunded even though it serves no purpose.

Consumer Action Taken:

I contacted priceline.com and they told me to call the hotel I am staying at. The hotel told me it can only be modified through the company it was purchased through. I called priceline again and they said there isn’t anyone higher up that I can speak to. They transfered me to the insurance company and the insurance company gave me inappropriate answers to my questions. I called priceline back and they straight up told me there is nothing we will do to help you.
