Citizens Financial Group – Consumer Complaint – 5-22-2012

Consumer Statement:

Citizens Financial group sent us a letter promising after we were prequalified for a modification of our loan that if we paid them $2995.00 they would help us reduce our mortgage payment by at least 50% .There was also a 100% money back guarantee policy ,that they would refund 100% of money if not approved.Once we provided payment and all documents if was sent to a ” Document Specialist ” for them to forward to our current lender.I did everything step by step.They were always a phone call away if we had any questions. Once I was advised they sent packet to my lenderI was advised to call weekly to check status.I did this.Was then advised we were denied.I got denial letter and contacted Citizens Financial Group ,which was getting very hard to get a call back at this point.I faxed denial letter and was advised by ducumant specialist that my refund was submitted and I would receive it by the end of February.Nothin. Now all phone lines di sconnected and my letter returned, and email could not be delivered. I have all my ducuments and eamils from this company.It is 5/21/2012 and I have yet to receive any money back and this has further hurt my situation.

Consumer Action Taken:

I tried to call as was expected step by step and now the phone is disconnected, emails can not be delivered.Sent certified letter returned.Contacted owner of buliding in Arizona and Citizens financial group left no forwarding ADDRESS.I have tried everything.I have copy of canceled check, all emails, all paperwork, and names of people.
