How Do I Know if there is a Warrant Against Me in Dubai?

“Dear Jon,

I left dubai 2009 with a termination letter and with a loan of Around 80,000Dhs the bank did call me three times in my country (Tunisia) since that time no more news from them, now I have the opportunity to get a job in Qatar or KSA one of my friends told me once I put my feet in one of the two Airport I’ll be delivred to the police of UAE is that right.
thank you

You ask a good question, and I will give you the information I know and have, and hopefully others here can add to it.

You need to confirm if a warrant has been issued against you in Dubai. You can do this by contacting the police there, or getting a solicitor there.

If there has been a warrant issued, it may be a problem. While we have not heard of anyone being arrested just by changing planes in a GCC country, if you were to live there, this could be another matter.

First confirm if a warrant has been issued, and if so, seek legal counsel. You may find it difficult to move to Qatar.

Let me know what you find out and we can look more at this.
