BeginToSave Sends Out Advanced Fee Debt Relief Mailer

An amazing reader, Rhodesey, sent in a new debt relief mailer through my I Buy Junk Mail program.

It certainly looks like this a rehash of the old debt settlement mailers we used to see. The fine print at the bottom says “Begintosave is a national advertising center contracted by both local law firms and non-profit debt resolution companies.”

Inside of Mailer

The inside of the mailer makes some interesting statements. It provides some totally random examples of debt reduction savings. Yet it provides no context of performance, fees, or even what kind of provider obtained these results. The FTC would probably be interested in seeing this mailer.

And there is the statement “NO large up-front fees with any of our programs.” So there are up-front fees then. It doesn’t say no up-front fees.

And there is the same half off your debt promises. Really vague. Is this half off the enrolled balance or the balance after it has grown and fees have been added in? We just don’t know.

If you follow the personalized web address in the mailer we land on the pages seen below. The web address is for Begintosave.com. According to public records, the owner of begintosave.com is hidden.

If you go to begintosave.com you get this page.
If you go to begintosave.com you get this page.

Interestingly, the second page below doesn’t mention law firms, just non-profit organizations.
