Jacob Johnson & Associates – Consumer Complaint – October 16, 2015

Written by Consumer

Consumer Statement:

Received a phone call from 1-213-217-9999 to call another number (1-844-422-3693) with a case number (2015-341788C). Once I called this number they said I had a payday loan that I used a bad check to pay on through Personal Cash Advance in November 2013. This Jacob Johnson and Associates had all my personal information (D.O.B., Soc. #, Old address). They kept putting my on hold and told me that I would have to go to Indianapolis to court to settle this case for the amount of $1032.82. Or I could settle over the phone. I have never had a payday loan through this company and could not find any information out about any of this on line. I truly believe it is a scam and needs to be shut down.

Consumer Action Taken:

The more information I tried to find out about while on the phone with this Jacob Johnson and Associates the more they put me on hold or hung up on me without giving my the information I requested. Just kept telling me I would be sent a summons to appear in court in Indianapolis, IN.
