Consumer Statement:
I filed for a loan consolidation with Nelnet in September of 2014. Payments of $44.08 have been held out of my account for the past year but I just recently found out the payments were not held out by Nelnet. They are being held out by a company called National Secure Processing. I have done some investigating and none of these payments have went towards my student loans. I never paid NSP an up front fee to consolidate my loans and I have no loans consolidated through them so they should not be taking $44.08 monthly. I can not cancel the payments because I can not get them to reply to me in any way. I would just like my money back to put towards my student loans and for them to stop the automatic debits every month.
Consumer Action Taken:
I have tried calling, emailing, and direct chat on their website. Every time I call it says it is not in between their business hours of 8 A.M. and 6 P.M. which is not true because I have called multiple times on multiple different days.
