Question:
Dear Steve,
Have two old balances from 2005 with Capital one. Had no job and couldn’t pay them.
Capital One put a judgement on me through lawyers and now the lawyers say that my accounts have been closed. Do I still owe them the balances if I sell my house?
Reyne
Answer:
Dear Reyne,
Yes. But if the judgments were turned into liens against your real property, they would be satisfied at the real estate closing for your house when you sell it.
Sincerely,
