Consumer Complaint: I am submitting this complaint regarding my student loan with Navient previously known as XXXX XXXX. I have taken out a loan in XXXX for XXXX. Now the cost is over 5000 and they are claiming that I am in default. One loan i have is paid off, the other is still in repayment. If the payments are grouped together, how is one in default and the other not? I have submitted transcripts to Navient and also a request to delay payment while in college. The transcripts were from XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They have refused to accept them. I have been paying my loan as my monthly statement becomes available paying anywhere between fifty dollars to a little over two hundred dollars. I have been paying on time and current for over* two years. When I logged into my account I have three loans. One is listed as paid in full, another as paid in full the final one I am still paying on. The issue is that, while one stated paid in full was later changed to Paid in full by the Department of Education. I was never notified of this by Navient. I was later contacted by a collection agency assigned by the Department of Education, XXXX They have been calling me mercilessly at work and home. They have been sending letters to my home. I have set up a payment arrangement with them in the mean time, me that the past six months. They have been telling me they would send me information that I am in a rehabilitation program. They have not done so. They have changed their story every time I called them. Now they are threatening to garnish my wages within the month. This upset me because I should not even be in default. I am still in college, i attached my payments. Now that this is posted on my credit i can not apply for financial aid either. Another reason, I have been paying the agreed amount to XXXX What they have done to me is unethical and illegal. Attached are my transcripts, copies of Navient payments, letter threatening to garnish wages and past checks sent to XXXX. The most convenient way to contact me is via email, I work days. If you chose to contact me via phone, please leave message and I will return it. Thank you.
