Consumer Complaint: My husband and I co-signed four student loans with my granddaughter to Sallie Mae, now Navient, in the amount of {$17000.00} with an initial 6 percent interest when my granddaughter began college as an XXXX year old. Now due to multiple interest increases by Sallie Mae and Navient this {$17000.00} loan is now {$32000.00}. Sallie Mae, now Navient have been harassing my daughter, my granddaughter and me for multiple years. They have not worked with us in the repayment of this loan, rather, the interest rises and rises. We need relief. My niece is now in her XXXX and a XXXX XXXX. Other loans throughout her college years, in addition to this one to Sallie Mae and Navient now over {$60000.00} due to multiple and unfair interest increases. I am XXXX years of age and my husband is deceased. Navient refused to consolidate the loans after multiple requests. These loans will never be paid off.
