Consumer Complaint: I became aware of this debt in XXXX, XXXX and I disputed it. I also filed complaints with the FTC and XXXX. I believe this account may be the result of identity theft. I have taken proper precautions to protect my identity. In my research I also found that the collection agency, Ad Astra Recovery Services, is in violation of the Texas Debt Collection Act by trying to collect and reporting this debt to the credit bureaus since they claim this debt was incurred in XXXX. This is yet another reason I am requesting this be removed immediately from my credit.
