Is Damon Day for Real, Can I Trust Him With My Student Loans or is He a Scam?

Question:

Dear Steve,

I have worked with Damon Day for a year, and he finally got me a solution with Navient for my student loans.

It was unbelievable, too good to be true. I have given 5,000 as a down payment tomorrow to Navient, and I’m terrified. But Damon Day is for real, isn’t he? This is my life savings.

Cathy

Answer:

Dear Cathy,

You sound nervous and frightened, and those are legitimate concerns and feelings when making big decisions. But imagine how wonderful those concerns would have been when people were taking on student loan debt. Oh, if we could turn back the clock.

Damon Day is a debt coach that I have known and mentored since around 2010. He is compassionate, caring, and is truly concerned about assisting his clients. I talk to him daily about client situations and give him my advice and feedback.

More importantly, he listens to his clients, helps present all solutions, guides people through understanding options, and helps people determine what is best for them in their situation. As a result, every solution is customized for the client.

Damon agrees that it is best to give people truthful information and facts and allow them to make their own informed decision about what is best for them and their lives.

Damon has had tremendous success helping his clients find successful outcomes with Navient private student loans and has provided excellent advice and guidance to those trying to deal with federal student loan issues as well.

All that being said, there is never a reason to blindly trust anyone with your money if you have hesitations. In your case, I would urge you to ask Damon all of your questions and express all your concerns so you can get the answers and facts rather than worry and be afraid. I’m confident he will gladly answer every question you might have.

It is normal to be stressed when dealing with financial problems. But I want you to feel confident and empowered that you are making good choices for yourself. So have an open and honest conversation with Damon about your concerns. He will listen.

The best way to feel confident is not to have any unanswered questions and to understand precisely what solution Damon, or anybody, is suggesting to deal with your situation.

Sincerely,

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.

  1. Cathy,

You’re an absolute idiot if you paid $5,000 to someone to help with your student loan debt. You can do this for free on your own if you spent 5 minutes researching the topic. If had the ability to go to college I would think you would have the ability to pick up a phone or search the internet for self help.

If you paid $5,000 for student loan help I got some African gold to sell you.
