We have 20,000+ worth of debt on our credit cards combined. I cannot do any balance transfers because they say that my debt is to high, what can i do? Is there any help for me?
Jean”
Dear Jean,
Without the expectation of sufficient income coming in the only legal protection you have from creditors is under bankruptcy.
Since your income has been reduced you may qualify for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy where all the debt would be quickly eliminated. Then you could focus on making it month-to-month with the burden of bills you just can’t pay.
