“Dear Steve,
I am using the services of Llyod Ward & assocate to negotiate a deal with me creditors on my behalf. They operate under the name best debt option company. How reliable are they. They have offered me a four year time frame and promised me to settle the debt with Chase Bank of america and discover card at around 40% .What are your thoughts on that. Do these bank really negotaie with them.Do you have any other better option for me to pursue.
Sid”
Dear Sid,
No debt settlement company can make an absolute promise of what creditor will settle and for how much. Times and policies change and the only thing that is likely would be the reality of the creditors if you hand the money on hand to settle right now. Even then their policies fluctuate on a monthly basis or at certain times of the year.
I think your debt settlement approach needs to be evaluated in context with what it is you are trying to accomplish. It may not be the appropriate tool for you to use if you are planning to not have the cash on hand to settle your debts within 24 months.
I think you should read The Truth About The Failure Rates and Completion Rates of Credit Counseling, Debt Settlement, and Bankruptcy. If you want to speak to an independent person for an evaluation of your specific situation contact

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.

My husband and I used Lloyd Ward Group to help us payoff some debt. To our surprise and $11,000 plus and three years later the debt is not settled. And guess what no one will speak with us at their office. We have been treated very rude. This company is not to be trusted. O by the way we got a very nice email telling us that we had graduated from their program. It is a big joke!!!
Did they?
I believe Lloyd Ward has also changed their fee structure from upfront to a performance based fee
I believe Silverleaf is turning a new leaf in a performance based model & no more affilliation w/ Lloyd Ward (correct me if im wrong)… And GOOD for them. Lloyd Ward & Assoc…..? I didnt realize they were still at it. If you decide to send them your money kiss it goodbye… Any company charging fees up front like LW will not be in business soon. I foresee bankruptcy and no benefit for any clients.
The FTC says NEVER pay up front for debt relief- So DONT.
I recently used Lloyd Ward/Silverleaf to help me settle my debt. I was very satisfied. I had $25,000 in debt settled for $8,500. It does take some time, however I did get a satisfactory resolution to my debt problem and would recommend this company to those of you who are struggling. The representative I talked to was willing to go above and beyond and gave me a direct line to get in touch with her. She was always available when I had questions and concerns and I have to say that I was extremely scared and apprehensive at first, but now I would suggest anyone use this company.

Steve are you saying creditors dont negotiaite or that you run credit counseling companies. Steve you are not credible. You advertise for debt settlement.
For all of you who complain about debt settlement, all you have to do is save the money when a company tell yous to and you will get out of debt. All the complaints up here are because the client wont stop talking to the creditors and are not ready to get out of debt.
Just for the record, the comments here from John, Marshall and Jamie have all been posted from the same computer address from what appears to be Dallas, Texas. You should not rely on these comments and assume they are nothing more than fake.
Worst company to deal with. Lots of promises but no results and if you try to cancel with them they will take 80% what you played them.
Please what ever you do not deal with this company.
Learn from my mistake
Thank You.
This is not a recommended firm to deal with. The only results you will see are your check book drafted and you will be out more money. I’m speaking from experience, you will not see that money again.
Please xplain your situation with Lloyd Ward & Associates..AKA Silverleaf Debt Solutions, NoteWorld Servicing Center. I am currently with them also and your correct after 4 bank drafts I have seen no action. Did you ever get your money back or refund?
Tom
you didnt get in debt overnight, it takes time to negotiate and you were explained that
