We are in about R600000 debt. We approached debt councellors and have noticed that the interest is still accruing on all accounts. We have 3 credit cards, 3 car loans (only 2 cars are with us. One was repo’d) we have a lot of medical bills and a couple of loans. In the last 7 years, my husband has been without a job 3 times and has tried his best to get a business started. I have been without a job twice now. Once thru illness that saw me out of the workplace for 6 months and last time due to retrenchment for 3 months. I am the only one working (on contract), and fear the cars being repo’d and not being able to get to work.
How can we get out of this mess, as we need to get back on track and out of this debt.
