Dear Peter,

While it is possible you may start to get some collection calls in Canada, the possibility is remote that it would increase passed just that, calls.
I have not heard of any case where someone was arrested outside of the GCC countries for a debt in the GCC, including Bahrain.
Your issue would be a problem in you tried to travel back to Bahrain and the GCC countries if an arrest warrant has been filed against you. Do you intend to travel back home?
The best possible solution, if you do owe this money, is to either come to an agreement on a repayment plan you can afford. Even a bankruptcy in Canada would not extinguish a debt in Bahrain.
