Consumer Statement:

I was originally told that my debt was settled and in Nov. when they took $15,000 out and my online status stated completed as well I was excited. This month I checked up again and it was active still and my money was still gone. I now am receiving letters from a third party stating the debt is still owed. My marriage, child, and future is now in serious jepordy. I work many hours to not make ends meet and being certified and licensed in the EMT field Firefighter and EMS jobs are hard to come by.

Consumer Action Taken:

Emails and phone calls only resulting in lies about the debt being settled.

About the author

This is information that was submitted by a third party and not generated by or Steve Rhode.

  • It happens a lot where the creditor will tell you the account is not settled when in fact it is settled. Do not automatically believe the creditor. If the creditor is wrong, you have a great FDCPA case that you should pursue….. Of course your DSC should have all the proof you need to prove your case.

  • Steve, thank you for bringing this to our attention.  We are committed to provided exceptional service and I apologize to our client if that was not the case here.  While it can happen that creditors incorrectly status and/or report accounts after they have been settled, we work to correct these mistakes quickly for our clients.  Steve, since we do not have the client information with this complaint we cannot reach out directly, but you can share my contact information with the client and they can reach out to me directly and I will ensure our company handles the situation.
