Consumer Statement:

I paid $2000 when the Consumer Advocates Group guarenteed they would lower my morgage payments to $524, per month, by January 2012.

Consumer Action Taken:

I paid them in November/December. The website they created hasn’t been updated in months. They don’t respond to my emails. The fax doesn’t work and the phone number will not go through. I have requested the refund, but no response. When I posted a Trustlink complaint, they responded with: “Did you just post this about our company?”. I also filed a BBB complaint.   1. I was also stolen from by this Group, Ryan Harris was the one I worked with. They promised me they could lower my mortgage about a 3rd of what I was paying, got my $2400.00 and then I couldn’t get ahold of them, no one answered the phone number I was given, this was in Feb of 2012, I turned them into the Fraud division of the Attorney General Office of Indiana, filled out the complaint and heard from that office in just a couple of weeks, sent them the requested cancelled checks and other info I filled out for the mortgage modification. I received a letter from the Attorney General’s Office and they have filled a consumer complaint in Dekalb Superior Court against Consumer Advocates Group/Ryan Zimmerman in hopes of getting my money back. So if you have been taken by these thieves get ahold of your states Attorney Generals Office, they have a website here in my state and the form is online that you fill out to get it started….Good Luck

I was also ripped off by this company and it’s promises and now you can’t even find them to get a refund.  I paid them aprox 2000 also.Yes they are snakes and Nathan Cass was the person who promised me the same thing.  I am a single mom and went info foreclosure on Nov. 16, 2011 and have been trying ever since to work the loan out with BAC and hopefully it will not cost me my home. My loan will be higher though and I will have to struggle along because CAG told me lies and took my money, even though I am not stupid and had an idea they were bad news I took a chance out of pure desparation.  Please don’t trust a company that sounds too good to be true with your home.

  3. Consumer Advocates Group responded to my emails finally. When I asked for the refund, they simply said, “No”. That it. The part that irritates me the most is the fact that Nathan Cass would pretend to be a great guy who was going to SAVE OUR HOME right before Christmas knowing I have three children to take care of. These people are snakes and if anything can come out of this, I just hope people read these posts and do not fall for the same stupid scam so many of us fell for.
