Consumer Statement:

Our home is behind by 14 month and we got a solicitation phone call for help after my wife went on line to a HUD website and requested a call for assistants. We spoke to Mike at National advocacy law center and he signed up us for a loan modification program for 2500.00 and since we paid them our home is in foreclosure now we are losing the home. The people at this firm do not return calls and we have no way to speak to the lawyer every time we call they say sorry he is busy or is out so we paid 2500.00 for nothing and now we are stuck.

Consumer Action Taken:

My wife Cynthia has called numerous times and left dozens of messages and to no success we can’t even get a call back from them.

  1. This is very helpful we almost engaged this firm however part of our reason for not doing so was the way they called constantly asking for full payment of 2500.00. They always would would push me to sign up and pay or told me the attorney was canceling our file when I asked to speak to the lawyer they would simply say sorry until you sign the retainer he would not speak to you. This was very suspicious and made me rethink calling my lender back after doing so they told me they will not negotiate with a 3rd party or law firm glad we did not hire them. This firm is a scam and was so desperate for 2500.00 it was rediculious my thoughts are they were going under or needed cash to pay the bills not a good firm to many red flags and signs of desparations over the phone.
    Working with your bank is the best thing to do not some half hack law firm who is desperate for$$$$
