Dear Paul,

I can totally sympathize with what you are going through. The stress of financial problems is enormous. It is easy for it to impact your relationship and health. We need to take some action to deal with the situation so let’s get to it.

Let’s see if I can summarize what you shared with me, you like older women. 🙂 Actually, that you had an unexpected medical event that altered your liabilities and led to a significant reduction in your income. In your current situation it is becoming possible to make ends meet.

Based on your age and your recent medical event it is probably more likely that it will be more realistic to reduce your liabilities and readjust your obligations. This means a probable bankruptcy to get out from under your debt and to turn the RV back in and discharge that debt as well.

I know that feels abrupt and maybe even unwarranted but without a return of your previous income your obligations were based on we either need to find a way to replace that income or reduce expenses.

You can get through this but it is going to take some education and investigation for you to make the best decision on how to proceed.

I’d suggest you first read How to Get Out of Debt. The Honest and Unvarnished Truth and The Truth About The Success Rates, Failure Rates and Completion Rates of Credit Counseling, Debt Settlement, and Bankruptcy. They will give you a great overview of what we need to deal with to get you moving in the right direction.

Then use the free How to Get Out of Debt Calculator to review your options.

Once you’ve identified a company you want to work with, then follow my step-by-step guide on how to check out a debt relief company.

I suggest that you call ClearPoint Credit Counseling and discuss what you decide after doing this research and that you also come back here and check in.

Please post your responses and follow-up messages to me on this in the comments section below.

Sincerely,

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.
