hi,I believe i may have been scammed. I had a bank account that I never used and they called me once to tell me that the checks that were deposited bounced, in someone elses name and I never used the account. can they sue me for an account i never used?

Aly”

Dear Aly,

The first thing to do is to contact the bank in question and ask them if they can confirm the accusations of the collector.

It should be a simple matter to clear up quickly. Let’s do that before you start worrying about what might happen.
