“Dear Steve,

My wife and I are in a difficult financial situation. We ride to file bankruptcy in the past, but that didn’t work out for us, but we consider a debt consolidation or dispute. However we were contacted by the DDS for services, before we sign any agreement with them , we want to make sure the company ” DDS” is legal and legitimate.

According to the State of Maryland, the principal office of Debt Defense Services, LLC is located at 2307 Furnace Road, Fallston, Maryland 21047. The resident agent is Charles Solomon. The company is listed as in “good standing” with the State.

  1. Stay away from DDS! Harry N was my case mgr. and I was told if contacted by third party collectors to have them contact Mr. Prichett (sp) who is their atty. Not true. He is just an agent even if that is true. I retained an atty as its against the law to claim this. Don’t waste your money!!! I have moreeBen on corporate but will disclose only after case.

Debt Defense Services is legitimate; Debt Defense Shield, is not legitimate, as it is run by the same scam artists Hassan Kassir and Eli Smart at Next Generation Debt Settlement which was shut down by Meracord and is being investigated by the CFPB. In fact, Debt Defense Shield was revoked more than two years ago http://nvsos.gov/sosentitysearch/CorpDetails.aspx?lx8nvq=635NTn%252bsZZaezCq%252fKcG%252fxg%253d%253d&nt7=0 and yet continued to illegally collect fees. Debt Defense Services is fine.
