What Johnson Law Group did to Patrick and Danny, they have done to me. It’s the one in FL. I just closed my checking account so that can’t debit anymore. I’ve given them over $4k in 2 years and they’ve kept over $2k for themselves as fees, $2k is in a trust, but they have paid nothing to creditors, one of which they could because it was settled for approx. $800 at $300, so I think that action alone broke the “contract”. I was sued by a creditor and a local attorney in Savannah, GA is handling the response and further actions by filing a counter-claim. He says he will be successful because the debt was sold by the original creditor to someone I technically owe nothing to. Anyway, any of those creditors can sue me now, but I can turn them over to this same attorney, but I want my money back from Johnson Law Group. I was advised to call – if they are a law firm – the State Bar of Florida – and if they are not – the Florida Attorney General.
I was literally about to Google for the phone numbers in Florida I need to call to file a complaint, when I Googled Johnson Law Group and found your site. Please tell me what to do next! I too am worried that when they try to debit, and can’t, they will come after me, and definitely never return my money. I have been broke and starving while job-hunting for 2 years, but maintaining my payments to them to keep my creditors at bay. They said the debts would freeze, they couldn’t contact me, and would all be eventually paid off at fractions of the amounts. Now I find they can sue me any day for the full amounts. If all the money I’ve given JLG had gone to creditors, they’d be mostly paid off anyway. What is JLG taking money to do?
Last I heard the Johnson Law Group in Florida had been shutdown and was trying to get permission to release funds.
I’d suggest you start with this process I wrote out to get a refund. I’d start today and follow every single step.
You need to go for a refund before they file bankruptcy. If they do, consumers will get little or nothing back.
