“Dear Steve,
Just to many credit cards. Bad, bad mistake.
I had a firm called Debt Pay Gateway Inc. Have you heard anything good or bad about them. They said they could reduce what I owe to probably 45%. They want to take so much money out of my checking each month.
Thank you
Deborah”

Debt Pay Gateway appears to be nothing more than a backend vendor that is only responsible for “the origination of moving money electronically using the ACH (Automated Clearing House) and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfers).” – Source
Yet their vendor page says they are affiliated with Debt Aid Processing that pays sales people 100% commissions. – Source
So it is very perplexing that Debt Pay Gateway was allegedly selling you a debt settlement service. I’d like to know more about how this came up because as it stands based on what you shared, it’s sounding very fishy. Either there is more to Debt Pay Gateway than they make public or the sales representative from another company was not being clear about who you were really dealing with.
What I would like to hear back from you on is how you specifically became connected with Debt Pay Gateway and who specifically made the sales pitch they could reduce what you owe? Something is not adding up here.
Let’s resolve those big issues first before we even tackle if debt settlement even makes sense for you in your situation.

They were originally US Financial and poor ratings, been with them 2 and half years, got notice from BOA going to take $ from my joint account since weren’t paid. Today deposited $ in bank to discover after Thursdays conversation with Tony, cancellation of account, $850.00 was withdrawn this morning leaving me -$359.00. Horrible! Now appointment at bank to stop payment, not professional service at all.. Also never got updates about what paid!!! Worst ever!
