Is Remedy Center in California a Scam for Loan Modifications? – Jack

“Dear Steve,

I responded to a solicitation for a loan re-modification from the Remedy Center in New Port Beach Ca. I sent them $3995 retainer(fee) to help me secure a loan re-modification.

Is The remedy Group a scam?

Jack”

Dear Jack,

There have been a number of variations on the Remedy name theme. You might want to look at American Remedy Center, National Remedy Center, and Remedy Law.

I would recommend that anyone considering using such a company should read the following fee guides.

  1. The Ultimate Consumer Guide to Checking Out a Debt Relief Company Before You Sign On the Line
  2. 10 Must Do Steps to Find the Best Credit Counseling or Debt Settlement Company for You
  3. How to Check Out a Business or Company to Avoid Getting Scammed or Ripped Off

There is no need to pay anyone to assist you with a loan modification. I would suggest you contact a free HUD Housing Counselor to help you with your lender.

Please post your responses and follow-up messages to me on this in the comments section below.

Sincerly,

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.

  1. Remedy Center, American Remedy Center, National Remedy Center is a SCAM. A bunch of THIEVES/LADRONES/VOLEURS. Please stay away, I just lost $3,995 for a loan modification. I am 66 years old I took the money from my retirement account. We have the responsibility to stop these guys from stealing people.

    • Hello, could you please give details on why this company is a scam… did your modification not go? Did the office give you a reason… More information is needed to rightfully accuse a business to be a SCAM.. this is very important information and the public deserves to know the truth… TOO many times i have witness clients wrongfully attack businesses without disclosing the full details, the facts. Some of the clients where just upset that they did not get the results that they think where owed to them..NOW, I have also seen reviews that this company has saved homes, and people Thank them and Love them … who do we trust????
