The Type of People Giving Student Loan Advice – Closers

Written by Steve Rhode

I stumbled across this job listing the other day for some company called Student Loan Solutions. They say they can provide you will valuable advice and, “Our Student Loan Advisors will provide you with full explanations and answers to all your questions about your student loans and the programs that are available to you.” – Source

So who are the “student advisors” they mention. Maybe the job posting can help clarify that.

Are You Getting Advice From an Advisor or a Salesperson?

Please feel free to chime in but it seems there is an emphasis on closing and selling rather than educating and providing best advice. May it is really important for you to make sure the person giving you student loan advice is a student loan professional with experience and not just somebody that, “Must have ability to CLOSE!!!”

The job posting below could not help but remind me of this scene from Glengarry Glen Ross. A-B-C Always Be Closing.
