First off, to make such unsupported performance claims just sets off all sorts of red flags for me. So, being pissed off about the message I had to go checkout the site.
They claim to be A+ members of the Better Business Bureau. The BBB says they are not members and have no company listed by that name.
They claim to be accredited members of the American Fair Credit Council. The AFCC does not list them as a member. – Source
They claim to be listed with Dunn & Bradstreet. Only one problem. Dunn & Bradstreet has no company listed with that name.
They list their telephone number as 800-677-1194. That number is also used by a site that claims they can help you capture leads. – Source
The entire Jet Debt Settlement website consists of one page.
Well, when you fill out their online request you do get a second page.

their website now says they settle for 39 cents on the dollar. I’m sure the FTC is going to have a field day w/ them
Jet Debt Settlement appears to be run by Paul Paquin and appears to really just be a DBA for Golden Financial Services
Am I wrong here, but isn’t it illegal for them to make the 40% claim? Didn’t multiple debt settlement companies get in trouble for false advertising over such claims?
It sure appears to be an issue that violates the standards for marketing debt relief programs under the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rules.
What has the AFCC had to say about this “outreach”?
The AFCC takes inappropriate and unauthorized use of its logo by a non-member very seriously and is addressing this matter directly.
Don’t ya think the AFCC should be taking seriously those companies that proudly display the AFCC logo with the AFCC’s permission? Ya know, the AFCC member who today was charged by the feds with criminal fraud: https://getoutofdebt.org/52012/afcc-current-member-criminally-charged-in-debt-settlement-fraudulent-scheme
Every AFCC member who thinks that their own company has a shred of credibility should demand that the AFCC clean house immediately and publicly.
Any single reference to the benefit and credibility of AFCC membership is completely tarnished at this point. No more smoke and mirrors.
Just like with TASC, there is never just one cockroach.
Just a year or two ago, there was a company called JET that marketed debt settlement programs for FIRE International. Wonder if it is the same? FIRE had a terrible reputation…
