A tipster (send in your tips here) just sent me the following email they received today offering student loan assistance.
On first glance it seems like just a run of the mill offer for help. Maybe one people might bite on. But why is this allegedly being sent out by the HRock School of Supernatural Ministry in Pasadena, California? I contacted the church to ask but as of the time of publication there has been no response.

Problems
The email uses the telephone number 888-634-9403. According to 800 Notes this telephone number is also reported by others and one person alleges the emails they received with the number, came from China. – Source

I suspect the poor church identified as the sender of this message is a victim just as other labeled senders have been. This email has SCAM written all over it and is a good reason why consumers should be reserved when jumping into student loan assistance programs.
The email also said the sender was a member of the Association for Student Loan Relief. But the association has no record of any such member.
